Gregory J. Lewis Jr.

Gregory J. Lewis, Jr. was born and raised in New Orleans.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge and a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center. Mr. Lewis was the first African American to serve as 13th Circuit governor on the American Bar Association's law student board of governors. The 13th circuit encompasses all of the law schools in the states of Texas and Louisiana.

Mr. Lewis served as a law clerk for several judges in Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans. He also served as a staff attorney for Chief Jude David L. Bell, of the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court.

While working for a local consulting firm, Mr. Lewis served as a legal project manager on multiple ongoing projects, including the redevelopment of the C.J. Peete (306 million), B.W. Cooper (319 million), and St. Bernard (308 million) housing developments. He also served as senior level project manager in charge of adjudicated property development.

Mr. Lewis is a member of the Louisiana State, American and National Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Greater New Orleans Louis A. Martinet Legal Society, Inc.

Mr. Lewis is the loving husband of Dr. Veronica G. Lewis, and the proud father of De'ja Alexis Lewis.
